Turns out, if the whole software business doesn't work out for me, I have a future in the water business. Given my catchy name and all, it's the coolest drink on the block.
(Thanks to Dave for obtaining the box somehow, heh!)

Successful way to engage the community at Mozilla's and Emma's shared Open Source Bridge conference party last night. What do you want the Web to be? A creative wish list for the future of the Web that we're planning to put back up at the Mozilla offices. For reference, you know. Thanks to everyone who participated!
Day three of having lunch at food carts in Portland. I am baffled by the variety and quality of food offered on various street corners here. Makes me wish some of the mediocre-yet-expensive restaurants on Mountain View's Castro Street would make room for something like this.
No need to bash that well-known coffee house chain from Seattle in this context, since they do a lot of things right, but in a place like Portland, Oregon, it would be plain sad to visit that one over the many excellent local coffee shops the city has to offer.
Like Barista, in Pearl District, where I got this prime specimen of a Macchiato, which tasted as phenomenal as it looks.
I am sorry, but you cannot unsee this: My hotel's closet greeted me today with not one, but two, horrendous bath robes: One zebra print, one cheetah. After I regained consciousness, I took a photo and posted it to the local support group for cheetah print victims Internet, like any reasonable individual would. You're welcome.
Didn't know there was an Arcade version of everybody's favorite modern party game! Now you too can pretend to be a musician (and, given that I'm not a guitar player, I am saying this in the nicest possible way ;))!
Looks like we got our new patio furniture (small patio = small furniture) just in time for some fabulous Californian sunshine. Might need to add an umbrella so that my pasty, central European self doesn't end up looking like a roasted chicken...
Lizzy, taking it easy after a long day of sleeping, napping, eating, and sniffing.
I think this photo is kind of cool since it looks like a Sepia effect or something but it's just the automatic white balance failing on a brown background and black-and-white dog in the foreground. If I had to guess, I'd say white-balance detection is the automation that fails me the most when taking photos. Unsurprisingly, it is probably the hardest property for the camera to get right, whenever no proper reference point (read: true white) is present in the frame. Interesting problem!
Today I found some "hello my name is" tags at the office (did I mention those are awesome?), so I just had to take this picture. (Pssst: Thanks to Tara, I'll also use it somewhere else next week... :) )
