About Me
My name is Frédéric Wenzel and I am a software engineer at Mozilla Corporation.
I studied Information Engineering and Management at the University of Karlsruhe.
For a year, I was studying abroad at Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon, USA. While I was there, I had the pleasure to work as an Open Source Software Engineer at the OSU Open Source Lab.
In winter 2006/07, I was doing an internship at Mozilla Corporation in Mountain View, California. I spent my day juggling bits and bytes for the Mozilla Add-ons project.
After my return to Germany, I finished my classes I need for graduation, and after a little while, I went on to Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where I wrote my master’s thesis on the topic of “Transaction Management Challenges for Federated, Workflow-Based SOA Applications” with their Software Engineering Institute.
When I am not at work, I make music (I play the trumpet in a music club) or play with Linux systems and other Open Source Software in ordinary and extraordinary environments.
