Day 118 – Caltrain
Those Caltrain Baby Bullet trains look mighty sleek there — if they run. After the recent budget woes threatened to keep most of these “babies” in the depot, some recently-found funding will at least keep them running for another year. Then what? Only time will tell

With all the big companies in the Silicon Valley relying on commuters, can’t they create a common fund for the Caltrain?
Good point! I think like most transit systems, Caltrain needs significant state subsidies in addition to what they get from fares and these subsidies were cut massively because the State of California is notoriously out of money.
Companies like Mozilla already do their part by paying for yearly tickets (“Go passes”) for all their employees, which I am certain aren’t too cheap.
