Heute ist Joe Zawinul, eine österreichische Jazz-Legende, gestorben.

Seine Stücke wie “Birdland” oder “Mercy Mercy Mercy” sind weltberühmt und gehören zweifellos zu den besten Songs die je geschrieben wurden. Man sehe sich nur einmal diese Aufnahme von 1978 an, mit Joe Zawinul am Keyboard, und Jaco Pastorius am Bass.

This is just awesome. But sometimes I am glad I’m not in the animation business.
