Ah, nice improvement on the size of titles. :)

I'd never thought of it being hard to read really long lines, but you're right. Huh. I don't know what to want now... thin is wasteful, wide is hard to read, and columns usually just don't look very good (maybe it's just the really, really thin ones).. :(

Well, then, I'm satisfied. It is a very good layout. I want to chew on the bright colors. :)

Thanks for your critical comments, Matt. I cranked up the font size of the posts a bit (makes it more easily readable I think) and I may look into the "waste of width" issue soon.

Remember though that it is hard for the human eye to read overly long lines of text (this is one of the reasons why newspapers have columns) so people shouldn't just use the entire screen width for one single, big chunk of text. That being said, it's certainly not bad to have some more space to work with.

I think it looks pretty nice, except:

1.) The titles of posts are a little small.

2.) Only like half of the width of the page (on 1280×1024) is content. The rest of it is the borders and the sidebar. Which looks pretty nice, but is wasteful. (I don’t know what it is with blogs and 300px-wide layouts.)

3.) It’s odd for the header to be at the top of the sidebar, and not standing out much more than other things.

Also, I’m just a fan of white, sparse layouts like the old one. :P (Even if I did have web design skills, my “website” would be pretty light.)

Okay, even if I’m a total whiner, it’s still a slick and shiny and tasty-looking layout. I like it. :)

Hey, Dan. I think it's cool how you noticed that. Sometimes even people who have studied there for years don't get it ;) let alone everyone else.

Thanks for noticing that, Fredrik! I removed the size settings from the textarea and replaced them by some good ol' CSS. Looks good now in Firefox and Safari.

The comment textarea overflows across the page divider border and is partially obscured by the right-hand side Pages/Catecory/Recent Entries stuff. The cols attribute of the textarea is set to "100%". The rogue %-sign is illegal. Just something I noticed.
